Air filters
The aim of air filters is to stop dust and organic molecules from the air, which are sucked through the engine. It is good to know, that the avarage engine uses during the combustion process approximately 10 m3 per 1 liter of fuel. Filters, which are nowadays produced are able to achive almost 100% efficiency in filtering particles of contamination, which are measured even in micrometers. Good filters need to have small resistance for the air and high absorption of contamination, which may lead to increase their time of use.
